Call this a little a test run before I do a website. Of course I would take better pictures but you'll get the idea.
Tell me what you think...would you stay here?
I will be putting more pictures in another entry showing the kitchen, dining & living room.

My gosh yes, I would stay in this beautiful home if I could and to think of getting to go out and talk to the bison, too! I love this idea, but think you are wise to think it through and decide just exactly what you would want to take on. Oh those canopy beds!
ReplyDeleteI would, you could make it into a "working B&B" and get those rich city slickers out there doing your dirty work! I will come if I get to ride too!
ReplyDeleteI would stay there. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an idea with great potential.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought IF I had the property I'd like a B&B - I got hooked on them in Europe and thought they were the best! Not only did we have great places to stay, we met some fantastic people.
ReplyDeleteWould I stay at your place that you showed ... in a heartbeat!
I also think it's wise that you aren't rushing into this. As much as I've talked about it, I also know IF the possibility were there, I wouldn't/couldn't rush into such a venture. I wish you the best on whatever you decide to do. =)
What a marvellous idea Lisa! I think, because of my age now, I would choose the holiday let arrangement rather than B&B. You only have to nip in and clean the accommodation once a week that way. Maybe leave a lovely welcome basket and some goodies or some essentials etc.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous place! I would love to holiday there. Especially if I got to visit you and your 'Girls'. lol
Thanks for calling by my journal recently. What a lovely surprise!

Looks warm and relaxing. I would definitely book a room with you. Would you be open during the autumn season or just spring and summer?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Especially if it's close to the kitties! LOL!! Bob's daughter & son in law that live in Pasadena,CA have two places in the Sun City, AZ area that they reant out. Totally furnished (linens, dishes, and some non perishable staple foods, etc.) People just come in with their own clothes, personal items & the food they need while there. In that area they rent out by the month (especially during the winter months)but you could rent yours out for two week periods or even by the week. They use a website called VRBO..a vacation rental website. Let me know if you'd like to contact Hope for more informaiton. I think the vacation rental idea is a better idea than a B & B, especially if you don't want to cook.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful to me as well. It might be easier to "let" than do B&B although it is enjoyable to meet and chat to your visitors. Your wonderful surroundings make a ideal holiday spot. Only wish I live din teh US and I woudl already have booked my place...so long as I could have a downstairs bedroom...essencial if a disabled person wanting to visit.
ReplyDeleteKeep us updated..

Wow, Lisa, what a great idea... I think I agree with Jeanie about a vacation rental vs a B&B... a yummy welcome basket or an invitation to a cook-out vs having to cook everyday and be "always on" when guests are around. Thank you for visiting my blog, I am glad to see you posting again! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI would most certainly stay there. Everything is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous house I'd stay there, it has great potential and only serving breakfast is best but also they have all that land and of course the animals to look at, hope you decide to do this.
ReplyDeleteBed and Breakfast here in the UK is quite big buisness if done right.
Take care
Yasmin

Absolutely! To hell with the breakfast. You have "bed and buffalo"!
ReplyDeleteas I am not serving food...
ReplyDeleteHaHaHa, Lisa. I was trying(just for a sec) to russle up the idea of you cooking breakfast for 20 each morning. Bison yes, people no.

Beautiful, tranquil place.
Would I stay there? I'd come and live there Lisa! I'd be in heaven with all the cats and other animals you have. I don't eat breakfast anyway so I'd be more than happy! Jeannette xx
ReplyDeleteIt's warm, inviting and very classy without being "hands-off". Let me know when you're in business, I'll be there!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice and inviting. I also think the land and the animals would be a selling point, especially for city people. B&B is work. Put your clients to work tending things around the place under your supervision as much or as little as they want to.
ReplyDeleteThink it through.

Hellz yeah, I'd stay there! You could definitely work it so that people would do their own cooking. I love the pool area!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful-absolutely beautiful. Maybe light breakfast, like Coffee and coffecake or muffins..just call it a country Inn that way breakfast is not usually expected,so the coffee and muffins is a nice bonus.
ReplyDeleteI'd be very happy to stay in your B&B, Lisa. And can I tempt to into serving food? Sorry I'm late finding this post.
ReplyDeleteMissing you...where are you ? are you ok? hope so.
ReplyDeleteAs the year 2010 draws to an end may I wish you and all those you love a very happy healthy and peaceful 2011

I would definitely stay there! I'm getting my home set up as a vacation rental this year too!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing ok - no posts for a while - hope 2011 will be a wonderful year for you.
